The International Meeting on intestinal diseases in conjunction with the annual congress of the Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases (IMKASID) has been held in Korea either annually or biennially since 2016. The program for young enthusiastic Asian doctors, GO IMKASID (Great Opportunity for collaboration in IMKASID) has been launched in 2019 firstly. So, on behalf of the KASID and the organizing committee of IMKASID, we would like to invite young doctors from Asia to apply for GO IMKASID and IMKASID 2027.

GO IMKASID program is intended to promote advancement and collaboration among participating Asian societies of intestinal diseases. By participating in this program, we expect doctors outside Korea to be able to acquire and develop new knowledge and technical skills about inflammatory bowel diseases, colorectal tumors, advanced colonoscopy and small bowel endoscopy at outstanding training centers in Korea. The training centers will help participating trainees to acquire clinical skills and academic knowledge through interesting case conferences, laboratory meeting, ward rounding/expert meetings and therapeutic endoscopy, etc. We wish the experience in GO IMKASID motivates the participants to improve themselves as researchers and clinicians after coming back to their region. For the GO IMKASID awardees, a grant (USD 1,500) will be given to each trainee to cover travel expenses, and accommodation costs (benefits to the awardees are described in detail at the bottom).

GO IMKASID 2027 is a 5-day training program taking place from April 22 (Thu) to April 28 (Wed), 2027, hosted at designated training hospitals ahead of IMKASID 2027. All program participants are required to attend IMKASID 2027, held in Seoul, Korea, from April 29 (Thu) to May 1 (Sat), 2027. To conclude the program, GO IMKASID awardees and trainers will gather for a special GO IMKASID Wrap-up Event on May 1, the final day of the main conference. We encourage all young doctors from Asian countries to take an active interest and participate in this program.
